对于留学生来说，距离Essay的写作时间越来越近了，对于通篇文章已经完稿的别以为就万事大吉了，有可能最后的结果却过低。很多同学在写作文时往往自我感觉良好，包括认为自己逻辑清晰、观点鲜明，结构合理，怎么就得这点分数，到底是为什么呢？其实有一个重要的原因就是proofreading没有认真对待，很多留学英国的同学应该会有这样的感触，记住Essay的校稿可不是导师的义务。在这里小编为大家介绍关于Essay proofreading要注意的一些注意事项：
(1)反复检査Essay中所引用的公式和资料是否准确。这可是查看你搜集资料和引用的能力，别让导师觉得你很不专业。
(2)语法。语法的修改可是很重要的，一篇思路清晰、观点鲜明的Essay，要是其中的语法错误百出，那再好都是没用的，所以要逐句逐句地找语法问题，当然你也可以找专业人士帮你修改，有的学校会有写作指导老师，可以好好向他们指教的，还有不要因为被人挑出无数语法错误而沮丧，坚持不断修改不断写下去，你会发现越到写作后期，你的语法错误会越来越少，说明你的英文写作已经得到了很大的进步，导师在阅读你的Essay时也就不会因语法错误看不下去。
(3)文章所有引用和参考文献有没都一个不拉的填入最后的References，就是参考数据里面。这个细节既能看出你格式是否规范，也能看出你是否尊重原作者，不能无视的。
(4)有的同学还会出现的一种在References的问题。即：列表中的文章与自己Essay出现的不一致，有的多了，有的少了；比如在修改时删掉一些被引用的段落，但在数据列表中却没有删掉，增补上的内容忘加入到参考数据中，这个其实是可以看出你写作的细心程度的。
(4)Some students will also have a problem in references.That is:the articles in the list are inconsistent with their own essay,some more and some less;For example,some quoted paragraphs are deleted during modification,but they are not deleted in the data list,and the supplementary contents are forgotten to be added to the reference data,which can actually show the degree of care of your writing.
(5)Essay排版。这是最基本也是学生最容易疏忽的地方，Essay的格式是否遵循学校相关的规定要求。在行距、段距、双行距，左侧留白、单页打印、参考文献系统、脚注、页码等上的规定要严格的遵守，不要自己随心意而来，这样是很让导师反感的。提醒同学们要仔细校稿，不要失分在细节上。
(5)Essay typesetting.This is the most basic and easily overlooked place for students.Does the format of essay comply with the relevant regulations and requirements of the school.The regulations on line spacing,paragraph spacing,double line spacing,left margin,single page printing,reference system,footnotes,page numbers,etc.should be strictly observed.Don’t come at your own will,which is disgusting to your tutor.Remind students to proofread carefully and don’t lose points on details.
